Like all Ben Tibbett's books, Cabin Wild Alpine Bivouac Huts Volume 2: East - Mont Blanc to the Dolomites is a visual feast containing some beautiful images and lots of info on the mountain huts in the Eastern Alps.
The first two volumes of CABIN WILD each feature 25 unguarded huts, and together they form a visual and narrative journey through some of the most remote and atmospheric corners of the Alps. Each volume is richly illustrated with over 400 photographs.
Volume One journeys through the Western Alps, from Val Maira to Mont Blanc, with huts tucked into the Écrins, Belledonne, Bauges, and the Mont-Cenis massif on the Franco-Italian border.
Volume Two continues eastward from Mont Blanc through the Pennine (Valais and Aosta), Bernese Alps, Lepontine and Rhaetian (Bernina and Ortler) and all the way to the Dolomites.
