Fifty Classic Ski Descents of North America is a gorgeous coffee table style hardback book featuring some of the best ski mountaineering lines in North America.
Fast developing legendary status, Fifty Ski Descents of North America is a sumptuous treat for any skier or snowboarder interesting in the biggest and best lines in the Lower 48, Canada and Alaska.
Recently made famous in part through Cody Townsend's YouTube series The Fifty which chronicles his quest to climb and ride all the lines in the book. It's a large format, coffee table book with great images and inspiring stories.
The book includes lines from New Hampshire to Baffin Island, from Pemberton to AK. Some lesser known routes are featured, along with well known classics and far out lines like those on Mount St Elias or Mount Robson that have only seen a handful of descents.
Created by ski mountaineers Chris Davenport, Art Burrows, and Penn Newhard with input from, amongst others, Jimmy Chin, Lou Dawson, Andrew McLean, Glen Plake, Lowell Skoog, Chic Scott, and Ptor Spricenieks.
